English Teacher’s Best Practices is held again for the third session in 2016. This is a routine academic forum held by the Department of English Language and Literature of State University of Surabaya (UNESA) in collaboration with teachers and practitioners in the field of English language teaching (ELT).
English Teacher’s Best Practices this edition will be held on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 at Seminar Room, Department of English Language and Literature, T4 Building 1st Floor, Complex of Faculty of Languages and Arts, UNESA Lidah Wetan Campus. The Forum will begin at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with three teachers who will present their best practices in the teaching of English. The three presenters this time are:
She is a teacher at SMP Negeri 2 Modo, Lamongan. She will share her long experience of teaching English skills particularly in speaking ability through a strategy what she calls as “RT-RW” (Routine Tasks - Routine Works).
She has been serving as an English language teacher at MAN Tlogo, Blitar for the last five-teen years. Her experience as the counterpart of native English speaking teacher as the volunteer of Peace Corps will be a great story to share to other teachers.
Moch. Ryan Syuhadi
He has been serving as an English language teacher working with students with special needs at SMPLB-A YPAB Surabaya. He employs what he calls as natural approach in teaching English for blind in Junior High School where he has been working.

Best Practices this time will be likely special as it is at the same moment to welcome The 2nd English Teacher’s Conference 2016, which will be held on Saturday, November 19th, 2016 at UNESA Lidah Wetan Campus. This is initial information upon this event; detail information is coming soon.
This year’s conference brings the workshop concept on Instructional Media in Language Teaching, with three keynote speakers and facilitators, namely Jonnie Hill of State University of Oklahoma, the USA, with the expertise in teaching English in various countries, Prof. Dr. Amin Lies Lestari, M.A., a professor of the State University of Surabaya that administers courses on teaching media development, as well as Dr. Mirjam Anugerahwati, M.A. of the State University of Malang with her expertise in the areas of curriculum and media development on the teaching of English.
This conference is an annual event held in cooperation between the Department of English Language and Literature and the academic forum of English Teacher’s Best Practices. This forum is dedicated to the teachers as agents who stand in the frontline to the practices of English language teaching.
