Nowadays the so-called disruption era is full of disrupted ideas that are out of the box. It has long existed in the area of ELT with the post-method era that Kumaravadivelu echoed in the 2006s with three principles: particularity, practicality, possibility. The main idea is that English teachers are no longer theoretical users but in theorizing their teaching experience. It is therefore necessary to strengthen the capacity of teachers to be able to mentor their teaching experience, and to practice their theory.
The 4th English Teaching Conference (ETC) in 2018 will accommodate teachers who have, are, or have been mentor their teaching experience and support them fully so that they become strong in theory and practice. For that rationale, the theme carried by The 4th ETC 2018 is “Empowering English teachers through Theorising Practices”.
We invite English teachers and teacher candidates, English instructors and practitioners to join and disseminate ideas and experiences of mentoring teaching experience at all levels and educational contexts in this conference.
